MISSION DESIGN: ARAKNA-Z
For this module I was given a pre-existing game build to design a mission for, as well as the build I was given some of the lore for the game in order to help me create a mission that would fit within the game.
I decided to set my mission in the Houses of Parliament that had been taken over by the Arakni. To prepare for this, I used a 360 virtual tour of Parliament to help with my level design and make sure that my level looked to scale. I also decided to make it look as though it had been used as a base of operations like in The Division so I also researched how they made their landmarks look used and what they included.
As well as this, I learned how to use timelines to help me blueprint, this was also one of my first forays into UI design.
